People come to see me for a range of issues,
such as:

  • Personal growth
  • Relationships
  • Family transitions such as separation, divorce and new family formation
  • Problems with mood and depression
  • Anxiety and phobias
  • Trauma and loss
  • Child raising and child development
  • Work-related problems
  • Adjustment problems
  • Cognitive Assessment

This list is not exhaustive and you don’t have to fit neatly into a category to come and see me. In the first sessions, I will work with you to clarify what it is you want to get out of therapy and together we will develop a plan to help you get there.

Goals vary enormously in their nature, from, for example, overcoming a specific phobia, to dealing with relationship difficulties, to overcoming are unique and our work together will reflect that.

The framework I practise in is evidence-based and formulated around cognitive–behavioural principles. This model looks at the relationship between thoughts, feelings and behaviours and teaches skills in such things as relaxation, management of emotions, and building more useful thoughts, as well as helping to change behaviour.

I am also trained in psychodynamic and attachment-based ways of working and use this knowledge to help with thinking about symbolism and how the ways in which we behave can express issues from earlier in our lives.

Please contact me if you would like more information on the psychological services I offer or the framework I use.
